I passed!! I passed!!

it's been more than 6 months since my last post. i have resigned myself to the fact that i'm just not the blogging kind. if i thought i was busy enough before getting married, life is even more hectic and demanding now. when friends ask why i've not been blogging, my dear husband once said "she's a married woman now, u know." haha...and it's true. now i not only have to care for myself, but the whole family (including the four-legged members).

but going back to the title - i'm pleased to share with everyone that i've FINALLY completed my masters! i got the good news 2 nights ago, through my coursemate. my supervisor had asked her to inform me of the results of my research paper, about 2 months after i submitted it. i'm very relieved they thought my work was good. i'm not academician material, i must say, and wouldn't have been able to do it alone, but for now, i'm just glad it's over! still have to make a final revision after this, before the printing and binding of hard copies can be done but should be just minor changes.

it's a good thing too that the masters is out of the way, since i'm getting busier and busier at work! now that i'm into my 2nd semester here at inti, the work is starting to pile up. and commuting at least an hour to work, and another to get back is no joke. u find that ur days are longer and by the time u get home, there's only time to eat, shower, do chores and maybe do a bit of reading or whatever, before the bed calls. i've been telling people that i was so 'spoilt' when i lived in PJ coz it was only 5 minutes away from work. well, such is life. i always remind myself to be grateful to have a job i enjoy, enough moolah to survive, generally good health and loved ones with me. so many other people have it much worse eh?

the next big transition will probably come when the little one (for now, we're just going to start with 1!) arrives, which won't be that soon - perhaps we'll start trying next year. the thought of motherhood is rather scary, and i can already imagine the demands on my time, energy and etc. nevertheless, our faith teaches us that children are a blessing from the lord, and a part of his plan when he instituted families. so we're definitely open to kids, trusting that god knows best when we'll be ready and how many we'll be able to take care of! :)

just a little update here, in case anyone still reads this blog! til next time...ta!

Congratulations!!! Make sure Sherman takes you out for a big expensive celebration dinner! I do a hour's drive for my practicum here in Texas. But an hour's drive in Malaysia is a pain. Take care, Emmy, and keep us all updated once in a while, when you can.

Hi MK! Hmm, i don't think the 'Mummy' in me is wanting to come out full-swing just yet. So it's more like the 2nd one - haha...i guess i don't mind kids ;) but it'll take a real experience to put my words to test eh?
