Disappointment...

I just got my letter from the company saying I'll have no increment this year - reason being, my performance last year was below what the company expected of me :( Ouch!

Needless to say, I'm feelin' the blow of it. Had been hoping the increment would come in as I've just signed up for an endowment policy and the extra money would have been handy. Sigh sigh sigh...

Am supposed to go for a work-related conference tomorrow, but at this moment, I don't really want to go. I know most of my colleagues probably would have gotten an increase and that makes me feel even worse!

My employers aren't exactly the most generous people on this planet but at least last year I DID get a bit of an increment even tho not much. This year's bonus was dismal as well - for the whole department and they blamed it on us not meeting the student numbers, so I was hoping for the increment.

I know money is not everything but I just can't help but feel disappointed somehow...and this brings back thoughts of wanting to change jobs - and all those thoughts that are related to it which I've thought about so many times. I told myself I'd stay with the company til I complete my Masters, but right now, I'm not so sure if it's the right move....

Perhaps I'd feel better in a few days....

Ev, we have this thing called the PMP (Performance Measurement Plan) but I would not know exactly what the score is that I need to qualify for increment, but neways, I'm ok now and just have to trust Him to provide for me lar. And to do my best at work lor. Thanks for the encouragement tho. Much appreciated!
