i had quite a good morning today. i woke up rather late for work, partly coz i was feeling lazy + tired, partly coz i went to watch Pirates 2 last nite with my housemates, and only got back quite late. i'm supposed to start on my marking since the exams ended yesterday but my papers are still with my boss and she was in a meeting the whole morning, so i conveniently decided not to work :D hahahaha...
i had a really good conversation with Sharon bout my LF, and just talking, sharing how we feel bout the LF and where it's heading and we've both realised that we need to spend time to "BE" again - coz all of us have been so caught up with "DOING" LF that we've neglected the times we used to spend together, just hanging out, and enjoying each other's company and friendships, and we've been drifting apart...
what is LF anyway, without real relationships, where we can truly be ourselves, and better yet, speak into each other's lives, to help each other grow, and have the joys of celebrating successes, but also to be there when the going gets tough, to be able to have friends who truly care for one another, and to know you hv someone you can call in times of need...and when we are open and really relating, God then can work in our lives without us even needing to 'engineer' it - times of prayer for one another, spontaneous times of sharing and worship, and ministry, whether within or out, wud be so much more meaningful...
i was telling Sharon that she & David, together with Lei Wah, are instrumental in my years in CLGC (not that many years lar, but still years lor) and they have really encouraged me, helped me when i needed it, and really poured into me, just by being them and doing what God has called them to do...of course, there are others as well, like Paulina and my friendships with Christine and the rest...and i'm really thankful to have all of them in my life...
Sharon said whenever she felt like giving up on the LF, what kept her going was seeing the growth in each of us, and that is really the best reward (apart from the reward God is giving her in heaven!) - to see changed lives...coz that's what it's all about, isn't it? People - God's people...and His heart for them...
that's why sometimes i'm restless and i know i'm not content to be where i am right now - there's more - much more - and in this journey, i'm hoping to discover that 'much more' in God's timing...in my walk with Him, in my work, relationships and ministry...i pray He'll teach me His ways, and show me where to go...
