and so, we're married!

i still don't feel quite married yet. i think it'll take some time to sink in. lol

the wedding took place last sat. everything went off smoothly & we couldn't have been more pleased. for 2 days before the wedding, we worked hard at putting up the deco and making sure all the last minute arrangements were in place. at the rehearsal, while practicing walking down the aisle i felt my heart pounding faster. i was thinking to myself - this is it! it's really happening already. haha...prior to that, i didn't think much about being nervous. just a wedding, i thought.

i stayed over at a friend's place with 3 other girls the night before. we did some final touches - painted my nails and i made lists of things so i wouldn't forget about them the next day. i got about 5 hours of sleep. but enough to last until everything was over at about 4pm. i was very glad we didn't have a wedding dinner. i cud wash the goop off from my face and hair, and take a power nap before heading for dinner with family and close friends. it was good :)

there were so many willing and helpful hands who made the wedding possible for us. we can't thank them enough. i couldn't have looked into everything during the wedding even if i wanted to, so it was extremely comforting to know that we have trusted people who made sure things ran well on our behalf.

the wedding service was a great experience for us, and i especially enjoyed the enthusiastic performance from our orang asli friends. the kids were so shy; some were seen hiding behind their paper (bearing the song lyrics) the whole duration but they sang with such gusto. bravo! we could tell they put in a lot of work preparing for it, and it really made our day.

sivin did a wonderful job conducting the wedding service, everything flowed along with so much grace. almost everyone who were involved in the liturgy and other roles at the wedding were friends and that made it all the more meaningful and fun.

it was a day well spent! now its back to more mundane things - like writing my masters project (STILL not yet done)...aish...
